Family first
Kids' menu, high chairs, big tables for big groups — and a hostess who'll take your anniversary photo.
Family-run, downtown, and proud to be Wynnewood's Mexican restaurant.
Walk under the orange awning on Dean A McGee Avenue and you'll know you're in the right place: chips and salsa hit the table before you've finished sitting down.
Gonzalez Mexican Restaurant lives in one of downtown Wynnewood's great old brick buildings. We filled it with hand-carved chairs, bright colors and the smell of fajitas on a hot skillet — and we've been feeding neighbors, travelers off I-35 and whole basketball teams ever since.
Our menu runs two directions. Casa Favorites are the dishes closest to our hearts: El Molcajete served in a volcanic stone bowl, Pollo Monterrey, Carne Asada, Camarones al Gusto and tacos al carbón. Tex-Mex Favorites are the comfort plates everybody craves: enchiladas, burritos, chimichangas, and our brisket tacos and brisket enchiladas that folks drive in for.
Whatever you order, expect generous portions, a full bar with a great beer selection, sweet tea that never runs dry, and a staff that will remember your name on your second visit. That's the Gonzalez way.

Fajitas and molcajetes come to the table still crackling. Guacamole is made fresh. Four salsas, every day.
Margaritas, cold Mexican beer and a tea selection people actually write reviews about.
